 Spot

Spot is a 2-year-old neutered black lab mix who was abandoned in a ditch in Park Hills in December  of 2008 with 4 siblings and found by police. His brothers and sisters have all been adopted. Spot is a  big beautiful boy who is very loving and kind, but shy. All he needs is a little TLC and some time to  build trust with a family willing to give him a home. This is a special dog.

 Shamous

Shamous is a 1 1/2 year old black Lab/Aussie mix who was abandoned near the Desloge Wal-Mart  over a year ago. He is sweet, energetic and ready to play. He would be best suited to a family with  no cats and older children. He gets along with other dogs and is ready to be a loving member of a  forever family. He is neutered and has all his shots, and is heartworm negative.

 Skipper

Skipper is a big, beautiful white, brown and tan hound mix with a huge heart. He has tons of energy  and loves to run so would love to be part of a very active family. He would be best in a one-dog home  with no cats and a big fenced yard. He needs some gentle guidance in manners and housebreaking,  but is very intelligent and gentle so he should learn quickly. He's only one-year-old.

 Gator

Gator is a beautiful black and tan male shepherd mix. He is about 3 years old, neutered, and has a  short tail. Gator is a very loveable dog whose favorite thing is going for a long run. He loves people  and kids, and most other dogs. Cats - no. Gator has been at the shelter for a long while and needs a  good home with a big fenced yard. He is not housebroken but is very intelligent.

 Rudy

Rudy is a sweet 2 1/2 year old neutered hound mix. He is black and tan with white chest markings.  He came to the shelter after being found on Hwy. DD in November 2009 with 3 siblings. Rudy loves  people but would prefer to be your only pet. He loves treats and going for long walks. He is not  housebroken, but could learn quickly since he loves to please people.

 Sophie

Sophie is an adorable 10-month-old hound/lab mix. She is tan and white and is a very happy and  active girl. She needs a home with a large fenced yard, because she likes to explore. She loves  going on long walks, loves all people, other dogs, and cats. She is very friendly and is working on  housebreaking. Sophie loves being with people and should be a house dog.

 Sid

Sid is a 2-year-old male Australian Shepherd mix who would make a great family dog. At the shelter  since July, 2009, he loves people and is OK with other dogs. Sid participated in a training program  at the Farmington Prison to prepare inmates in caring and training of dogs for a prison adoption  program. Sid is not housebroken but is receptive to training and could make a great house dog.

 Daisy Mae

This is Daisy Mae, a Shitzu/Terrier female mix, approximately 1 1/2 - 2 years old. Daisy is a very  energetic and affectionate little dog who was rescued from the local pound. She needs a good home  - and some serious grooming! She is spayed, has all her shots and is Heartworm negative.
