Crash Kills Bonne Terre Woman

A head-on crash in Ste Genevieve County killed a Bonne
Terre woman.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, a 1997 Volvo
Tractor, driven by Edward A. Leonard, 59, of Rolla, was
traveling westbound on Route Y when an eastbound 1995
Dodge Ram veered into the path of the Volvo.
The Ram, driven by Jerri M. Swank, 49, of Bonne Terre,
crashed head-on into the Volvo, traveled off the right
side of the road and down an embankment.
Swank was pronounced dead at the scene. She had not been
wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Volvo was not injured.
